Watch Link Bracelets Molds were taken from Watches, Watches a larger tapestry of over 1500 watch links found over 39 months. Each bracelet is a fragment of the collection in one month of 2009. I had set the mold aside for a few years with the idea to eventually cast them in metal. I am quite pleased to say we finally have the ability to do all metal casting in our studio in Utica, NY. They are cut in a variety of metals including sterling silver, brass, and silicone bronze. There are several that are also made by combining sections that did not fully cast into a new design. I plan to continue to develop these "combinations" in the future as well as utilizing some new molds.
For some time the overall cost of casting these bracelets prohibited me form moving forward directly with my idea. I often experiment with materials and starting casting Golden Acrylic Paint into molds. I wanted to experiment with metallics, reflections, and iridescent qualities of the paint. I then combined them with metal structures to allow for firm structure. The result acrylic and metal bracelets are quite light, scratch resistant, and comfortable to wear.
